Fees and Booking

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to make the process as straightforward and transparent as possible. Below you'll find information about session fees, appointment options and how to book. The first consultation is free, and its purpose is an opportunity for the client to gauge if True North Therapy will be a good fit for them. These sessions are 30 minutes in duration, and not therapeutic in nature.

Session Fees

Standard $120 per session

Couples $150 per session

Standard Session Pack (3 sessions) $300

Couples Session Pack (3 sessions) $400

A standard therapy session runs for 50 minutes. A couples session runs for 60 minutes. Packages follow the relevant session durations.

Payment for standard and couples sessions is required upon the completion of the session. Session packs are pre-paid. Session packs cannot be booked via the portal; they are booked by the practitioner. Fees are reviewed periodically, and any changes will be communicated in advance.

Booking an Appointment

Appointments can be booked online using the link below. You can contact me directly with any questions prior to making an appointment. Questions should be related to general aspects of the process rather than the issues you may want to bring to the therapy session.

Session Options

Counselling is available in the following formats which allows you to choose the option that best suits your circumstances and comfort:

In person (Lara Victoria)

Online via secure video (Australia wide and international)

Telephone (Australia wide and international)

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 48 business hours' notice.

  • Cancellations within 48 business hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancellations within 24 business hours, or failure to attend without notice, will incur the full session fee

Session packages are non-refundable if you simply change your mind, or decide not to continue. This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law, including your right to remedy where a session is not provided with due care and skill, or is otherwise not delivered as agreed.  You have six months in which to use all three of the package sessions, before it expires.

These fees help protect appointment times reserved specifically for you, and allow other clients the opportunity to access support.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality are fundamental to my practice. Information shared during counselling is treated with respect and kept confidential in accordance with professional and legal obligations. There are, however, limited circumstances where confidentiality may need to be breached, such as where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person, or where disclosure is required by law. Further information about privacy, confidentiality, informed consent and the collection of personal information will be provided before your first appointment through my secure client portal.
